10 Uses for Your Old, Worn-Out Toothbrush

Do you wish there were more ways to recycle an old, worn-out toothbrush than what you know at present? Are you trying to recycle as many things as possible today like so many other environmentally conscious people are? Luckily, you have come to the right place. I have a list below of 10 uses for your old, worn toothbrush.

1. Eyebrow Brush – Do not buy an expensive eyebrow brush to apply makeup to your eyebrows or to feather out your eyelashes. I just use an old toothbrush!

2. Fingernail Brush – Have dirt under your nails? Just wet your old toothbrush and add soap to scrub away the dirt. The bristles are just the right size to fit under the nails.

3. Scrubbing Grout Lines – Dampen a toothbrush with water and add the grout cleaner. Scrub the grout lines gently to clean all the dirt and debris away. Rinse to remove.

4. Clean Your Small Kitchen Appliances – Microwave and the drip coffee machines are just some of the kitchen appliances that are tricky to clean. An old toothbrush will reach into all the little cracks and crevices of these appliances. Just make sure to use only baking soda and water on the inside of microwaves and inside the coffee makers.

5. Scrub the Corners of the Floor – It is difficult to mop all the dirt out of the corners of your kitchen floor. Your worn-out toothbrush will do an effective job of removing all the dirt from the corners.

6. Clean Your Jewelry – I use my old toothbrush for cleaning my diamond ring and other pieces of jewelry. Take a weak solution of ammonia and water, and gently work it into your soiled jewelry.

7. Spot Cleaning Clothes – Wet your old toothbrush and apply a small amount of laundry detergent to a stain on your shirt or other piece of clothing. Scrub the stain with your toothbrush.

8. Remove Grime from Toilets – It is tricky to get under the toilet bowl rim completely clean. A toothbrush allows you to reach under this rim easily. It also is ideal on the toilet seat hinges.

9. Clean Your Blinds – I use an old toothbrush to clean my window blinds. It works great.

10. Lip Exfoliating Brush – Wet the toothbrush and dip it in some granulated sugar. Rub it gently over both your lips to remove all the dead skin.

These are my favorite ways to use my old, worn-out toothbrush. What ways can you think up on your own?
